Patricia Boyer-Domergues at Clos Centeilles is one of the heroes of the quailty resurgence in the Languedoc. Her wines remain entirely traditional, with no new oak or over-extraction, just ripe naturally grown fruit that beautifully expreses the terroirs of the slopes of La Liviniere in the Minervois. Grenache is blended with Mourvedre and Syrah giving a rich, complex wine with layers of spicy cherry and plum fruit and aromas of thyme and black cherry with notes of smoke and meat.
